If you don't already have some Plastic Explosives, backtrack to the large pit and loot a pot on the northeast side. On the third screen is a seemingly impassible door. You'll need to use your Lockpick Skill on the second door. You can 1) disarm them all for 25 XP each, 2) run through them and take the damage, or 3) hug the right wall and avoid them altogether. In the next hallway you'll get several messages saying "You see a raised plate." This means you see a trap. Visit all the side rooms to pick up any loot. Equip your spear and attack all the creatures inside. Instead just head inside and face your first challenge. You can also talk to him, but he just tells you to go on with your trial. You could turn around and attack Klint, the guy guarding the path to the village proper, but that would be mean.
Items you need to start collecting as soon as you find them: 1x Shovel, 1x Jet, 10x Booze, 10x Beer, 10x Cat's Paw Magazine, all colors of Memory Module, ∞ Super Stimpaks, 1x Wrench, 2x Tool, 5x Spear, 10x Knife, 5x Xander Root, 3x Broc Flower 2x Rope, 1x Lighter 1x DynamiteĪfter the introductory FMV, you find yourself at the entrance to the Temple of Trials. For example, if you're supposed to tell someone something specific, you may not have that dialog option if your character isn't smart enough, or doesn't have a high enough Speech Skill.
